I would like to share
this invitation
with our District's pastors. I'm sure that anyone that attends the team
training event at Ginghamsburg this coming October will be blessed. My
lay leader and I went to a training event two years ago and we returned
with much information and motivation. Grace and peace, Laura

Rio Bravo Deaf School News
Mr. Ernest Clark, from Virginia, who is the General Director
of the deaf school in Mexico, asked me to convey his “thanks” and “blessings” on
our Church Members for helping so much in this time of need for the school.
Carol and I have been taking donated food and buying food in
Mexico almost every week. For a while some of the kids had to go home at noon to
save on food, but since we have stepped up the supplies, now all of the kids are
staying the full school day.
We also thank you for buying the empanadas the kids made. All
of this money goes directly to the school.
Again thank you to everyone for being so generous in helping
the kids at the
Rio Bravo Deaf
School.
Blessings, Mark and Carol Armor, 412-1727 and cell 245-0890
FROM CHURCH TO
CHURCH, AMEN!
Our Awards, Events, and Missions Accomplished

AMEN to McAllen District Wesleyan Nurses
who continue to educate
us in all areas of health issues. This month was dedicated to National
Cholesterol Education. It’s a reminder of how fragile our bodies are and as
temples of God, we are to take care of ourselves physically as much as
spiritually.
AMEN to FUMC McAllen
for hosting a Fall
Sunday Family Picnic to kick-off a variety of Bible Studies to be held
throughout the week-including a Bible Study for Moms using scripture, prayer and
discussion based on the Bible that is relevant to helping moms become more Godly
women even during the daily routine of life.
AMEN to FUMC Alice
who was a registered host
site in September for the nationwide simulcast of
The Total Money
Makeover Live! by Dave Ramsey.
AMEN to Mission FUMC
U.M. Women Saturday Circle who meet the last Saturday of each month so that
women who are unable to attend weekday functions because of work, children, and
everyday business can attend. The women learn of mission opportunities extending
a helping hand to the world around them.
AMEN to Christ/Riviera UMC
for hosting the youth
group and sponsors from Memorial UMC Austin. The youth constructed a labyrinth
at RUMC that has already been available as an outreach to the community.
AMEN to San Benito FUMC
who extended their
ministries to include a Spanish Worship Service at Riverside Middle School.
