AMEN
to Port Isabel FUMC for
continuing Prayer Shawl and Prayer Blanket ministries along with
their Hug-N-Buddies ministry. Stuffed animals
are donated to sit in the worship services and then are taken to
folks in need of a hug with a note attached. The
note reads, “I have been in worship and have heard the scripture
read and the prayers said.”
AMEN
to La Feria FUMC’s UMW
for hosting a Native American Study jointly with
the youth of the church. They studied Indian
customs by having a “potlatch” meal, planting beans, and learning
the “3 Sisters” approach to planting crops and living.

continuing to be in ministry with the other congregations
that meet in their building (Iglesia
